An international technology group is recruiting an Interim Financial role to support the divisional finance team through a major separation and transformation programme.

Finance is playing a central role , with a focus on reporting, controls, systems and the integrity of consolidated financial information. This assignment would suit a qualified accountant with strong financial reporting, consolidation and systems experience, who can operate effectively in a complex group environment. The role will support financial reporting and accounting activity across divisional entities, including the holding company. This will include month-end consolidation support, reporting and analysis, intercompany validation, master data changes, transactional finance support and project-based work linked to systems and process change. Working with the Financial Reporting Manager and divisional finance team, the individual will help maintain reporting discipline, support central controls and contribute to the delivery of accurate financial information to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting financial reporting, consolidation and controls activity as part of a wider transformation programme, including the monthly consolidation of reporting submissions from group entities
  • Performing reconciliation, validation and intercompany mismatch checks, with additional review of submitted financial data at half-year and year-end
  • Preparing reporting and analysis to support review of consolidated and company-level results, reporting outputs and data integrity
  • Supporting finance workstreams linked to systems, process change and business transformation projects
  • Preparing requests for master data changes, including new cost centres and accounts
  • Supporting procure-to-pay processes for the holding company
  • Developing a strong understanding of divisional finance policies and processes, helping direct colleagues to relevant guidance or points of contact
  • Taking ownership of allocated reporting, analysis and project-support activities within the divisional finance team

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with experience gained in practice, industry or a combination of both. They will have a strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation or group finance, with previous exposure to IFRS reporting, corporate reporting requirements, ERP systems and consolidation/reporting software. Strong Excel, reporting and analytical skills will also be important. The role will suit someone well organised, accurate and detail-focused, who can work effectively in a changing project environment. The individual will need to be a self-starter, confident building relationships across finance and the wider business, with strong professional communication, sound judgement, problem-solving ability and a pragmatic approach.

This is an excellent opportunity to support a high-profile project within a large, complex international group. The role would suit someone who enjoys financial reporting, systems, controls and process improvement, and can bring structure and accuracy during a period of change.
