Service Desk Support Analyst - 12 Month Contract - Hybrid in City Of London
Contract: Initial 12 months (Outside IR35)
Rate: £150 per day
Location: Hybrid - City of London (Farringdon), 2-3 days on-site per week
The Role
A well-established American Managed Service Provider is looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Support Engineer to strengthen their internal IT team, supporting operations across the UK and Ireland. The end customer is a US-headquartered organisation currently expanding into the UK, Ireland and wider Europe, and this role has been created to provide additional hands-on support to the team through that growth.
This is a broad, "out and out" support role covering networking, data centre infrastructure, systems administration and end-user support - ideal for a versatile engineer who enjoys variety and is comfortable working across the full IT stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing IT support across networking, data centres and wider infrastructure
- Working with Cisco networking technologies (Cisco house) across LAN/WAN and data centre environments
- Supporting data centre networking infrastructure
- Infrastructure support across hardware and software, including:
- VMware
- Dell servers
- Operating systems
- Active Directory
- M365 and Exchange Online
- Supporting mobile devices and printers
- Apple Mac OS support
- Troubleshooting technical issues and managing tickets through to resolution
- General hands-on support, including desktop/computer support as required
What We're Looking For
- Solid, broad-based infrastructure and support experience (networking, server, and end-user support)
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco networking
- Experience with VMware and Dell server hardware
- Confident with Active Directory, M365 and Exchange Online administration
- Comfortable supporting both Windows and Mac OS environments
- Experience working within a ticketing system, managing and prioritising workloads
- A proactive, flexible approach - happy to get hands-on across multiple technical areas
- Experience supporting international/multi-site teams (UK & Ireland) is advantageous
