Bench IT require an experienced Finance Data Migration Analyst to lead the extraction, transformation, and validation of financial data from these Legacy platforms into the new Oracle data model, while also supporting the archiving of retired Legacy systems.

The project will be undertaking a significant Finance Transformation programme, decommissioning multiple Legacy finance applications - including Advantage, CODA, Bottomline, Alusta - and migrating to Oracle, the new enterprise-standard finance system.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to someone comfortable working across multiple source systems, collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders, and taking ownership of data quality throughout the migration lifecycle.

This position is working 2 days per week in London and the remaining days working remotely.

Required Experience & Responsibilities

• Proven experience in data migration/data transformation projects within a finance systems context.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion/Oracle ERP Cloud data structures and load formats (eg, FBDI templates).
• Strong working knowledge of finance data structures (eg, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Chart of Accounts, Master Data).
• Hands-on experience extracting and manipulating data using Excel, SQL, and Alteryx.
• Experience with data mapping and transformation into structured templates for enterprise system loads, ideally into Oracle.
• Solid understanding of data validation and reconciliation techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large, complex data sets under project deadlines.
• Experience with Legacy system decommissioning/archiving processes is advantageous.
• Extract financial data from Legacy systems using various tools including Excel, SQL, and Alteryx, ensuring accuracy and completeness of source data prior to transformation.
• Transform and map extracted data into agreed target templates/data models required for migration into Oracle, in line with defined mapping rules and standards.
• Support the end-to-end data validation process, including reconciliation between Legacy data sets and Oracle target data, identification of discrepancies, and remediation.
• Document data extraction and transformation logic, mapping decisions, and validation results to support audit and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with the application team to support the archiving of Legacy systems post-migration, ensuring data is retained appropriately and in line with retention/compliance requirements.
• Identify data quality issues within Legacy systems and work with stakeholders to agree remediation approaches ahead of migration.

Desirable

• Prior experience with Advantage, CODA, Bottomline, Alusta finance systems specifically.
