Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O) Techno-Functional Consultant

Source-to-Pay Transformation | Outside IR35 *Competitive Day Rate | 4-6 Months

We're supporting a business embarking on significant optimisation of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance platform and are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Techno-Functional Consultant to help shape the next phase of their Finance transformation.

Working closely with Finance stakeholders, you'll become the technical authority for the programme, helping redesign Source-to-Pay processes, improve Accounts Payable automation, rationalise configuration and establish best practice across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of a Dynamics 365 Finance Source-to-Pay transformation.
• Review existing Finance configuration and recommend best-practice approaches.
• Design efficient transaction structures to support AP automation and workflow.
• Define and optimise master data, approval workflows, security roles and controls.
• Translate business requirements into practical D365 Finance solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across configuration, integrations and platform capability.
• Advise on AP Automation and OCR solutions, including how they integrate with D365 Finance.
• Support host-to-host payment integration and wider Finance process automation.
• Produce clear documentation, solution designs and configuration guidance.
• Work alongside internal IT teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery.

We're looking for someone with

• Strong experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (formerly Finance & Operations) projects.
• Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Finance Techno-Functional Consultant, Senior Functional Consultant or Solution Architect.
• Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay / Source-to-Pay and Accounts Payable processes.
• Strong knowledge of D365 Finance configuration, workflows, security, financial dimensions and master data.
• Experience working across configuration, integrations and technical solution design.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and recommend best practice.
• Experience working closely with Finance users, implementation partners and internal IT teams.

Ideally they'd like someone who could get into Central / East London - approximately 1-2 days per week, to build rapport with key stakeholders, but this could be negotiable for the right skill set.
