Senior SAP FI Consultant Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FI Consultant to join a major SAP programme. This is an opportunity for a hands-on functional expert who combines deep SAP Finance knowledge with strong technical understanding and the ability to engage confidently with senior business stakeholders.

This role is not suited to individuals who operate solely in an advisory capacity. We are looking for consultants who are equally comfortable defining solutions, configuring the system, troubleshooting issues, and delivering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP FI solution design and configuration activities.
• Engage directly with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into SAP solutions.
• Deliver hands-on configuration across SAP Finance processes.
• Support integration activities across SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Produce functional specifications and work closely with technical teams during development and testing phases.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide practical, scalable solutions.
• Support workshops, solution reviews, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.

Required Experience

• Extensive SAP FI consulting experience gained across multiple implementations, upgrades, or transformation programmes.
• Strong functional expertise across core Finance processes, such as:
  
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting
  • Bank Accounting
  • Financial Closing and Reporting
• Proven hands-on SAP configuration experience.
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures, integrations, and technical concepts.
• Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience producing high-quality functional documentation and specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

• SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
• Integration knowledge across FI/CO, MM, SD, and other SAP modules.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation or migration programmes.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori and modern SAP architecture.
