We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Director to join our client and play a key role in shaping the future of a rapidly growing Electric Vehicle business based in Greater London. The business currently employs over 500 people and has been in innovator in the sector. The business now anticipates exponential growth over the next 3-4 years.

This role is wide-ranging and requires the type of individual who can work from a relatively loose problem sheet and deliver ideas, solutions and practical interventions to support the business as it transitions to Private Equity (PE) ownership as part of a bigger investment strategy. This programme will include post-M&A alignment of the business with the PE owners, introduction of new IT, technology and digital solutions to support the planned expansion, and mature business processes to support planned scale-up of the venture.

The successful candidate for the Programme Director role will have a proven track record of driving successful project delivery within a fast-paced, rapidly expanding business environment.

The Programme Director vacancy has arisen following the acquisition of the business, with the Private Equity (PE) owners keen to progress and mature the business.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of the company's programme management strategy, which will need to be in close alignment with business objectives and priorities, as well as dovetailing with the Private Equity owner's investment strategy within the sector.

Build a PMO function from scratch, and establish and maintain effective governance, controls, and frameworks to support the delivery of technology programmes across emerging UK and European operational locations.

Oversee the delivery of all IT and AV elements required for new locations, ensuring operational readiness.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and maintaining buy-in.

Manage budgets, resources, scheduling, risk, and stakeholder communication for all projects as part of the wider programme.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; ideally within technology, business or engineering disciplines.

Experience and ideally qualification in relevant Project Management qualifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile

Proven track record of leading successful project delivery with fast-evolving businesses.

Experience in establishing and leading a PMO function from scratch, including assembling teams.

Strong understanding of IT, technology, CRM, ERP, digital and AV elements required for business operations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
