2nd Line Support Engineer (Contract)

Location: Fully Remote

Rate: Up to £220 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract: 3 months


Our client, a leading managed service provider, is hiring a 2nd Line Support Engineer to support their busy service desk. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse client base, resolving escalated technical issues and contributing to high-quality service delivery.


What you’ll do

  • Provide 2nd line support across a range of client environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Manage and deploy patching across multiple systems and endpoints
  • Handle escalations from 1st line engineers, ensuring timely resolution
  • Maintain clear documentation and update tickets within the service desk system


You’ll work closely with 1st and 3rd line engineers, as well as wider technical teams, to ensure smooth service operations and continuous improvement.


What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
  • Solid working knowledge of Azure (AD, infrastructure, administration)
  • Proven experience with patch management tools and processes
  • Background working within an MSP or fast-paced service desk environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer-focused approach
