SAP FICO Consultant - Outside IR35 - Liverpool

TalentBank Technology is supporting an organisation within the FMCG sector to engage an experienced SAP FICO Consultant on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will play a key part in supporting and optimising SAP Finance solutions across a complex, multi-entity environment. The successful consultant will work closely with finance stakeholders and IT teams to enhance SAP capabilities across Financial Accounting and Controlling processes, ensuring systems support business performance and reporting requirements.

This is a hands-on role combining functional expertise with stakeholder engagement, supporting both project delivery and business-as-usual optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and support SAP solutions across FI/CO modules including GL, AP, AR, Costing and Profitability Analysis.
• Work closely with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Support configuration, testing, and optimisation of SAP Finance processes.
• Ensure effective integration across SAP modules including MM, SD, and PP.
• Provide ongoing support and drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes.

Required Experience

• Strong experience as a SAP FICO Consultant within enterprise environments.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP FI/CO including GL, AP, AR, COPA, and Cost Centre Accounting.
• Experience working within FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of integration points between SAP Finance and logistics modules.
• Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and deliver business-focused SAP solutions.

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments.
• Exposure to financial consolidation, FP&A, or reporting tools.
• Experience working within multi-country or multi-entity organisations.
• Knowledge of indirect tax, e-invoicing, or regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience working within structured delivery methodologies.
