Senior Java Engineer - Actuarial Data Squad - Outside IR35 - Contract

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a high-profile project focused on Back End systems that automate complex financial and actuarial processes. This is a hands-on role delivering Back End solutions under tight deadlines in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Back End systems and APIs in Java, using the Spring ecosystem
• Work with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Helm
• Design and implement scalable, production-ready systems for complex financial processes
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align solutions with operational needs
• Support discovery and proof-of-concept work to validate technical approaches

Key Skills:

• Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem
• Solid knowledge of AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Helm
• Comfortable working in large, regulated, or secure corporate environments
• Ability to deliver hands-on Back End solutions for complex financial and actuarial workflows under tight deadlines

Rate: £450-£500 outside IR35

Location: Fully remote, UK-based

Duration: 6-month rolling contract with potential extensions
