A large trading organisation is rebuilding its enterprise data platform, bringing together streaming, storage, transformation and governance into one shared platform for the business.
We need a hands-on Lead or Principal Engineer to turn architecture into working software: guiding event-streaming pipelines, production data pipelines on a modern lakehouse stack, and setting standards other engineers build on.
You'll need:
Led the build or major modernisation of a production data platform
Strong hands-on experience with a major streaming technology (Kafka or equivalent)
Production experience with a lakehouse/Spark-based analytics platform
Strong Python/SQL and a major public cloud
Comfortable mentoring engineers and setting technical direction across teams
Bonus: Flink, dbt,...
