IT Project Manager, 3-month Contract, Outside IR35
Who you will be working for
This new role is with an established public sector client, located in Scotland. This client is looking for an experienced IT project manager for an initial 3-month contract. The organisation currently has a portfolio approach to the delivery of all projects delivered by their IT services across the organisation which encompasses both IT technical and IT business projects. The project manager will work on a number of concurrent projects within that portfolio. The rate for this role is c. £400 per day and is Outside IR35. This role will be fully remote.
What you will be doing
The role holder will be stakeholder facing and will be responsible for providing an end-to-end quality project management service to all IT customers across the organisation. The role holder will be managing multiple projects from project initiation through to post-implementation preview. You will be responsible for managing all project resources including staff, equipment and third-party suppliers and communicating with project stakeholder groups to ensure delivery of project objectives.
You will develop and maintain mechanisms to manage change control, risks, issues and dependencies within projects and communicate with project managers of concurrent live projects to identify and manage project inter dependencies.
What they are looking for
You will have notable experience working as an IT project manager and a track-record of successfully managing and delivering multiple projects of both an IT technical and business nature. You will have Prince2 foundation certificate or above and have experience in the application of Prince 2 in a live environment.
You will have experience producing written reports and conducting presentations of a non-technical and technical nature. You will have strong supplier management skills and experience evidencing a strong customer focus in both project and service delivery. Knowledge and application of ITIL is essential and have excellent organisation and time management skills with the flexibility and ability to respond to urgent requests and shifting priorities.
Public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
