Burendo is an Agile consultancy specialising in supporting both large and SME organisations improve their Agile adoption and delivery processes. Our clients span both multiple industries and countries, and our consultants and coaches use a blend of tools and techniques obtained through their previous practical experience to help teams improve their client's delivery capability.

We are currently leading a major transformation project for a high-profile public service organisation and have a vacancy for a project manager to drive and own a software migration. Working with us on a contract basis (Outside IR35) for an initial period of four months, the role is remote with occasional travel to the offices in London required for collaboration activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering a software migration across a large organisation, specifically experience in migrating from Skype to Microsoft Teams is desirable.


The successful individuals will be responsible for
  • Developing the overall project plan based upon requirements and key milestone targets
  • Coordinating cross-project activities with the wider programme teams to identify any dependencies
  • Developing and controlling deadlines, budgets, and financial activities
  • Stakeholder management across the project workstream to ensure progress is regularly communicated
  • Assuming responsibility for the project's resources
  • Assessing program performance with the aim to maximise ROI for the project and wider programme
  • Reporting, resolving and mitigating risks and issues
  • Preparing reports for the wider PMO team

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager working across technical workstreams
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent knowledge around change management activities and full project lifecycle
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of programme/project management software (MS Project, Excel etc.) is a strong advantage
  • Outstanding leadership and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Eligible to work in the UK
