Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Leeds | Hybrid | £600 per day | Outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who combine deep technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a consultative approach. This role would suit an senior engineer who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working closely with stakeholders and helping organisations build scalable, cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and support AWS-based cloud platforms
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using modern automation tooling
• Build and maintain containerised environments
• Support platform reliability, scalability and operational performance
• Work closely with software engineering teams to improve delivery practices
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Engage directly with stakeholders and client teams

Requirements

• 7+ years' commercial technology experience
• Strong AWS engineering and cloud platform experience
• Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub or CircleCI
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Solid Python development experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Track record delivering long-term engagements within complex environments
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance

Desirable Experience

• Consultancy or client-facing delivery experience
• Public sector or regulated environment experience
• Large-scale cloud transformation programmes
• Agile software delivery environments
