Google Cloud Platform Engineer at Anson Mccade, Multiple Locations, £Contract Rate

NOTE: You must be holding active UK Security Clearance (SC) to be eligible for this contract opportunity.

We're supporting a major digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced GCP Platform Engineer to help design, build and enhance enterprise-scale Google Cloud foundations and landing zones.

• Designing and building secure, scalable GCP landing zones
• Implementing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
• Developing cloud platform services, guardrails and governance controls
• Building and supporting GCP networking, IAM and organisational policy structures
• Working closely with architects, security teams and engineering stakeholders
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation initiatives
• Driving best practice across cloud security, resilience and platform engineering

• Active UK Security Clearance (SC)
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven experience building or supporting GCP landing zones / cloud foundations
• Excellent Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise
• Experience with cloud networking, IAM, security controls and governance frameworks
• Knowledge of Kubernetes / GKE environments
• Experience operating within enterprise-scale cloud platforms
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Previous experience within Central Government, Defence or other secure environments
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, GitLab or similar
• Google Cloud certifications
