Data Architect at Formula Recruitment, London, 3 Months, to £600 per day Outside IR35

Data Architect : Contract : Up to £600/day outside IR35 : Hybrid, London : 3 months initial

A well-established UK business is seeking a contract Data Architect to join its growing data function. The focus is a new data platform that will become the foundation for the company's reporting, analytics and future AI work.

As a Data Architect, you'd set the design direction for the platform and guide the engineering team building it. You'd bring several existing data sources together into one clean model and shape the standards that keep the platform reliable as it grows. The role stays hands-on, with time spent building alongside a small team of engineers.

As a contract Data Architect you'll be competent in:

• Designing and delivering a modern data warehouse or lakehouse into production
• Writing SQL and Python and building data pipelines yourself
• Data modelling, data quality and governance best practice
• Handling sensitive data securely, with a solid grasp of privacy and access control
• Explaining technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience bringing multiple systems or platforms into a single data model is an excellent advantage.
• Experience preparing data platforms for AI use cases is a strong bonus.
