Senior Automation Test Engineer

West Midlands - 1 day a week

6 month initial contract - Scope to extend

Up to £500 per day - Outside IR35

Sanderson Recruitment has partnered with a leading organisation seeking a Data-Focused QA Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, reliability and performance of data pipelines and integrations across its data platforms. This position will be heavily focused on testing reporting solutions, SQL-driven data transformations, and end-to-end data integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate batch and Real Time data pipelines to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Test data transformations, business logic, data models and perform source-to-target reconciliation.
• Verify end-to-end data movement across source systems, processing platforms and downstream applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated data validation and regression test suites.
• Identify data discrepancies while assessing pipeline performance, scalability and resilience.
• Investigate data-related defects, document findings and work closely with engineering teams to drive resolutions.
• Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines and contribute to improving overall test coverage and quality assurance processes.
