Programme Manager - Data & Business Intelligence

Location: City of London | Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office

Contract: 12 months | Day rate: £700-£875 | IR35: Outside IR35

A technology-led insurance company behind a number of consumer brands in the insurance sector is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead an overhaul of its data analytics and Business Intelligence capabilities.

The business offers home, landlord and specialist property insurance directly to consumers. Having grown organically and through acquisitions, it now has a broad but fragmented data landscape. This programme will bring greater coherence to its data and help the business turn its resources into actionable insight-supporting better decisions, improved operations and a stronger customer experience.

The role

As Programme Manager, you'll lead the programme from planning through delivery, working across business and technology teams to shape and implement a more effective analytics and BI capability. This includes enabling tools such as Power BI and other analysis solutions to deliver relevant insights, dashboards and decision support.

Key responsibilities

- Define the programme vision, scope, delivery plan, governance and success measures.

- Coordinate work across data, technology and business stakeholders.

- Assess the existing analytics and BI landscape, including challenges created by fragmented data and acquisitions.

- Drive delivery of fit-for-purpose reporting, dashboards and analytical solutions.

- Ensure solutions meet business needs and support adoption and effective decision-making.

- Manage dependencies, risks, budgets, suppliers and programme communications.

- Track outcomes and maintain clear oversight of progress and benefits.

About you

- Proven experience leading complex data, analytics or Business Intelligence programmes.

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align business and technology teams.

- Experience delivering reporting and insight solutions, ideally using Power BI or comparable tools.

- Comfortable working in environments with complex, fragmented data and evolving requirements.

- A pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to programme governance and delivery.
