NEC Housing Cloud Configuration Specialist at Opal Solutions Private Limited, London, 6 Months, £450 per day

Join an established local authority housing transformation programme where multiple NEC Housing modules are already live and further configuration and go-live delivery is underway. We are seeking two specialists who can take real ownership of hands-on NEC Housing Cloud configuration, from solution design through to production support.

The focus

The immediate delivery priorities are NEC Repairs, Contractor Portal, Servicing and Compliance Management. The two assignments may be divided by functional domain or by complementary seniority and technical responsibility, depending on experience.

Essential experience - please read before applying

• At least 5 years of NEC Housing configuration experience, including NEC Housing Cloud.
• Recent, personal hands-on configuration of NEC Housing Cloud modules for a UK local authority or housing association.
• Demonstrable configuration expertise in at least one of: Repairs, Contractor Portal, Servicing or Compliance Management.
• Ability to explain specific configurations delivered, business requirements addressed and resulting outcomes.
• Strong understanding of cross-module dependencies, NEC Housing data schema and practical use of data loaders.
• Experience working with business analysts, housing SMEs and multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Configuration testing, defect resolution, go-live activity and post-go-live support.
• Experience building NEC-related reports using Business Objects or Power BI, plus technical documentation and BAU knowledge transfer.

What you will deliver

• Own solution design and configure assigned NEC Housing modules to meet operational requirements.
• Advise stakeholders on configuration options and implications across connected modules.
• Test and troubleshoot configuration, resolve defects and support go-live and stabilisation.
• Support training materials, produce technical documentation and transfer knowledge to BAU teams.

Who should apply

This is a specialist configuration assignment, not a generic NEC user, application support, business analyst or project manager position. Experience with other housing platforms or unrelated NEC products alone is not sufficient. We welcome consultants who can demonstrate recent, direct NEC Housing Cloud configuration delivery.

Stage 1 - Consultancy interview: technical discussion of hands-on NEC configuration experience and relevant module delivery.
Stage 2 - End-client interview: assessment of technical fit, housing domain knowledge and delivery approach.
