Senior Project Manager (VmWare) - Outside IR35 - 5 Months Initial - Glasgow Or Edinburgh at Hamilton Barnes, Glasgow or Edinburgh, 5 Months, £Contract Rate

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) upgrade programme for a financial services organisation. You will own delivery from planning through to completion, working with infrastructure, security and operations teams to upgrade a critical virtualisation estate with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the VMware VCF upgrade, owning scope, timelines, budget, risks and dependencies
• Manage stakeholders across the customer, the partner and the technical team, with clear and regular communication
• Plan and manage resources across architects, engineers and technical specialists
• Make sure every team member understands their goals and responsibilities
• Blend Agile and Waterfall approaches to suit each phase of delivery
• Build and maintain the project roadmap and report progress to senior stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience delivering a similar VMware project, ideally VCF based
• Experience working with MSPs, IT consultancies or end clients in financial services
• Proven stakeholder and resource management at senior level
• Experience blending Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience building project roadmaps and the tools you use to do it
• A relevant certification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMP or VMware is nice to have but not essential

Contract Details

• Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh, with 1 to 2 days per week on site (flexible)
• Duration: 5 months initial
• Rate: £400 to £500 per day depending on experience
• IR35: Outside IR35
• Start: ASAP
