The role
You'll deploy, run and support a containerised platform across a range of customer environments, many of them on-premise and some fully disconnected. You'll work directly with customers, sometimes on site and on your own. You'll also build the automation that keeps a growing number of deployments secure, monitored and up to date.

What you'll need

• 3+ years' hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, ideally across more than one distribution
• Strong GitOps and infrastructure-as-code skills, including Helm, Argo CD and Terraform
• A solid background in observability, ideally with Grafana, Loki, Tempo and Mimir
• Experience delivering into on-premise infrastructure
• Experience with image and container security scanning and compliance checks
• The ability to script and build tooling that automates deployment, scanning, monitoring and maintenance across many environments
• Confidence working with customers face to face and working independently on site
• Sole UK nationality
• Current DV clearance, or SC clearance and willingness to go through DV vetting
• Willingness to travel to sites in the UK and Europe. This is currently a few days a month and is expected to grow. Some systems at SECRET and above can only be accessed in person.
• A full driving licence

Nice to have

• Experience running event-driven architectures
• Experience with restricted, secure or air-gapped environments
• Experience building Kubernetes clusters from the ground up (support and mentoring are available)
• Exposure to AI or GPU inference workloads, such as vLLM, Triton or the NVIDIA GPU Operator, or a strong interest in picking this up
• Kubernetes certification (CKA, CKAD or CKS)

Working pattern

• No on-call rota
• Out-of-hours or weekend work only in exceptional cases
