Software Engineer (Java/Python) - Contract

Hybrid Working | Telco Experience Essential

We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a leading telecommunications programme. This is a hands-on contract role requiring a strong developer who can quickly get up to speed, work independently, and deliver from day one.

• Strong Java/Python development
• Telco experience
• Cloud/Security tooling experience (Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Defender for Cloud, etc.)
• Qualys or another enterprise vulnerability management platform

Essential Skills

• Strong experience with Java and Python 3
• Experience with JavaScript and YAML
• Knowledge of Qualys and Wiz
• Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Previous Telco experience is essential

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise applications and services
• Build automation and integration solutions
• Develop and maintain configuration and deployment scripts
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Support continuous improvement across development practices
