Solutions Architect (Databricks), Financial Services
Contract: 1 month (extension likely) | IR35: Outside | Location: Remote
The role
Our financial services client is looking for a senior, hands-on Solutions Architect to support a number of data and analytics initiatives, initially focused on reviewing and progressing existing Databricks solutions towards production readiness. You'll work closely with Data Engineers, architects and business stakeholders to define scalable design patterns and support technical decision making.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current architecture, pipelines, data models and platform configuration
- Identify gaps and risks, and provide practical recommendations
- Advise across data modelling, governance, Unity Catalog, security, data quality, resilience, performance and cost optimisation
- Define scalable design patterns and support technical decision making
- Help establish reusable approaches for future initiatives across the organisation
- Work closely with Data Engineers, architects and business stakeholders
Essential
- Strong Databricks experience, including Unity Catalog
- Strong Azure experience
- Experience of modern data architecture
- Experience taking solutions through to production
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments, ideally financial services
- Senior, hands-on approach with the ability to work across engineering and business
