Data Platform Engineer - Contract
£500-£550 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote | Working US Hours

Devonshire Hayes is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to help build and improve data observability, data quality and platform capabilities, enabling data engineering teams to deliver reliable, efficient pipelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Build out a data observability platform to provide tracking, control, operational monitoring and visibility across end-to-end data pipelines and data usage.

• Develop reusable data quality components and frameworks to identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues.

• Monitor and optimise Snowflake performance and costs.

• Create reusable components and frameworks to support data engineering teams.

• Support and manage data platforms, including Snowflake, Talend, Matillion, ThoughtSpot, Power BI and Ataccama.

Essential experience:

• Strong data expertise, with hands-on experience building data pipelines.

• Strong SQL skills and practical Python experience.

• Experience supporting and managing data software platforms.

• Experience with data observability, data quality and performance management.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Desirable experience:

• Familiarity with Snowflake, Talend, Matillion, ThoughtSpot, Power BI and/or Ataccama.

• Linux and Terraform.

• Software development experience.

This is a fully remote contract requiring availability to work US hours.
