Azure Engineer (Hybrid, Contract) at Metaskil Limited, Camberley/hybrid, 3 Months, £Contract Rate

Working for a well established and expanding provider of software solutions, this role is to support their Azure hosted environments, providing extra capacity to work with the customer support team to resolve any incidents. Working alongside existing team on new customer environment provisioning, from infrastructure sizing and configuration through to certificates, DNS, monitoring and handover

You will maintain secure Azure networking and security controls, including Key Vault, Application Gateway, Private Endpoints and Recovery Services Vault (backup), Investigate and resolve Azure Blob and storage issues as they relate to the delivered platform components and support identity and access, including Entra ID, SAML and OIDC single sign-on across workload running in Azure.

As an experienced Azure Engineer you will also help our client to improve existing documentation and carry out knowledge transfer to the permanent team so that all delivered work can be supported and improve team capability.

You will have demonstrable experience running workloads within Microsoft Azure production environments, including App Service, Container Apps, Functions, networking, Key Vault and Application Insights/Log Analytics.

Good understanding of identity and access fundamentals, including Entra ID, SAML or OIDC, SSL/TLS and certificate management as well as a solid knowledge of cloud networking principles (routing, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, private connectivity) as applied within Azure.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders are essential as is the willingness to help junior team members.

Ideally you will have a relevant Azure certification (eg Azure Administrator)

Location: Hybrid, with a couple of days a week in Camberley, Surrey and the rest remote working
