Test & Measurement IT Systems SME - Contract

Rate: Up to £600 per day, Outside IR35
Contract: Initial 3 months (will be extensions)
Start: ASAP
Location: Hybrid, with travel to Derby approximately once a fortnight and occasional UK travel

We're looking for an experienced Test & Measurement specialist to support the technical environments surrounding physical engineering and manufacturing test facilities.

This is not a software QA, UAT or OAT role. You'll be responsible for keeping test beds, instrumentation and the supporting data and IT infrastructure connected, reliable and supportable.

Key requirements:

• Experience supporting manufacturing or engineering test facilities

• Strong knowledge of test beds, ATE, instrumentation and data acquisition

• Experience with tools such as LabVIEW, TestStand, DEWESoft, Beckhoff or similar PLC/DAQ platforms

• Understanding of test networks, edge data collection and SQL/results databases

• Ability to diagnose complex Tier 3 hardware, software and connectivity issues

• Experience working with engineering and IT teams within a governed change environment

• A background in aerospace, automotive, powertrain or advanced manufacturing

You must be comfortable getting up to speed quickly within an existing technical landscape and explaining complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
