We are seeking a Senior End-to-End Architect with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to support Energy-related initiatives within a leading telecommunications operator's Autonomous Networks transformation program. The architect will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end alignment between the Energy domain and the broader Autonomous Networks strategy, driving solution design across business and technology layers while providing architectural leadership across multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.This is a senior hands-on architecture role, requiring a blend of cloud expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities. Experience within the Energy/Utilities or Telecommunications sectors would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the End-to-End Architect for Energy-related initiatives within the Autonomous Networks program.
- Drive the definition and evolution of solution architectures leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ensure architectural alignment between Energy domain requirements and the broader Autonomous Networks roadmap.
- Define target-state architectures, integration patterns, and technical standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and program leadership to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide architectural governance and oversee solution design throughout the delivery life cycle.
- Identify cross-domain dependencies, risks, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support technology decision-making and ensure architectural consistency across initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Significant experience as an End-to-End Architect, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect in large-scale transformation programs.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and cloud-native solution design.
- Proven experience designing complex enterprise solutions spanning multiple domains and systems.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, APIs, data platforms, and distributed systems.
- Experience working across business and technology stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate independently and provide architectural leadership in a complex environment.
Preferred Experience
- Energy and Utilities sector experience.
- Telecommunications industry experience.
- Exposure to Autonomous Networks, network automation, or digital transformation programs.
- Familiarity with AI-driven operations, observability, or operational data platforms.
Location & Working Model
- Remote-first engagement.
- No mandatory office attendance required.
- UK-based candidates are preferred.
- Occasional travel may be required to support stakeholder engagement, workshops, and relationship building.
