Senior Azure Security Engineer at Barclay Simpson Recruitment, London, 5 Months, £500-£550 per day

London (hybrid), Outside IR35 day rate

A leading professional services firm is looking for an experienced Senior Azure Security Engineer to join its Cyber Security team on an initial temporary contract.

You'll take a hands-on role designing, implementing and improving security across Azure and the wider Microsoft security ecosystem, with a particular focus on Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR and Entra ID.

The role will involve engineering Sentinel detections and KQL queries, strengthening cloud and identity security controls, developing security automation, improving monitoring and telemetry, and supporting secure cloud and hybrid architecture.

We're looking for someone with strong enterprise Azure security engineering experience, deep knowledge of Sentinel and Defender, and practical experience with Entra ID, KQL, PowerShell, APIs and security automation.

This is a hybrid London-based engagement with a leading professional services environment, offered outside IR35.

The successful candidate must be able to start in the next 2-3 weeks (by 26th October).
