Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role blends technical expertise, leadership and a passion for cloud technologies. You'll be instrumental in automating, optimising and securing our Azure environments, driving efficiency and innovation across our projects.

Location: Hybrid working, with travel to London once a week and mandatory attendance at Staines at the end of each month
Contract type: Contract, Outside IR35
Rate: £400 per day, Outside IR35
Clearance: SC eligible (candidates must be eligible to obtain SC clearance)
Start date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Azure infrastructure projects, ensuring best practice in CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and security
• Collaborate with development teams to implement scalable and secure cloud solutions
• Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within Azure, enhancing automation and consistency
• Mentor junior DevOps team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Stay abreast of the latest Azure services and features, evaluating their potential impact on our projects
• Ensure system reliability and performance, troubleshooting and resolving issues proactively

Essential Skills & Experience

• SC eligible, with the ability to obtain SC clearance
• Proven track record as an Azure DevOps Engineer, with extensive experience across Azure services
• Strong background in CI/CD tooling, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform, ARM templates)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead projects and teams effectively
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a commitment to DevOps best practice
• Outstanding communication skills, able to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Desirable

• Azure certifications, such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (highly preferred)
