Enterprise Release Planning Lead | Contract | London Hybrid | Outside IR35
SR2 are supporting a large, complex organisation looking for an experienced Enterprise Release Planning Lead to join a major technology environment.
This is not a traditional operational Release Manager role. We're looking for someone who thrives on complexity and can take information from multiple technology programmes, systems and delivery teams and turn it into a clear, joined-up enterprise plan.
You'll work across a broad technology landscape, interrogating detailed delivery information, understanding how different initiatives interact and building credible pathways through multiple interconnected releases.
A major part of the role will be identifying dependencies, sequencing, constraints, critical paths, risks and key decision points, before translating that detail into clear roadmaps, visualisations and executive-level presentations.
What you'll be doingBuilding integrated release schedules and delivery roadmaps across multiple technology initiatives
Mapping complex cross-programme dependencies and understanding their impact on sequencing
Identifying critical paths, constraints, clashes, risks and key decision points
Interrogating detailed technical, functional and delivery information to understand what is genuinely achievable
Challenging assumptions, timelines and dependencies where things don't stack up
Creating a joined-up view across a large technology estate
Turning complex planning information into clear, high-quality PowerPoint presentations, roadmaps and decision packs
Presenting plans, risks and recommendations to senior technology leadership
Supporting SteerCos and wider technology governance forums
You'll likely come from enterprise release planning, integrated technology planning, portfolio planning, programme controls or complex technology delivery planning.
You'll need strong experience bringing together multiple programmes, workstreams, systems and dependencies into integrated plans, with the ability to move comfortably between granular delivery detail and the bigger strategic picture.
We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate strong dependency mapping, sequencing, critical path analysis and scenario planning, alongside excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
The important thing is that you've operated across complex technology environments and can demonstrate the planning, analytical and stakeholder skills needed to make sense of multiple moving parts.
