PMO Lead at Harvey Nash Plc, North East England, 12 Months, £550-£650 per day

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced PMO Lead to support a major IT transformation programme. This is a high-profile and business critical role with responsibility for establishing strong programme governance and maintaining controls.

The Role

This is a 12 month, outside IR35 contract role based in the North East. Your responsibilities will include managing the PMO and operational readiness. This is not a passive reporting role but a complex set up of a new PMO to ensure the effective delivery of enterprise change.

The successful candidate will be expected to create structure, challenge delivery assumptions, identify risks early and hold both internal and external stakeholders and teams accountable for delivering against simultaneous agreed milestones and contractual commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the PMO governance approach for a large-scale enterprise change programme.
• Develop and maintain integrated programme plans covering multiple workstreams, dependencies and milestones.
• Maintain oversight of programme risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions.
• Challenge plans, progress updates and delivery assumptions to ensure reporting reflects the true position of the programme.

Essential Experience

To be considered, candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Significant experience leading a PMO within a large and complex enterprise wide change programme.
• Experience establishing and operating programme governance, controls, reporting and escalation processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders, delivery teams and external suppliers.
• Availability to begin a new contract at short notice.
• Ability to work onsite 2 to 3 days per week in the north east.
