IT Asset Management and Configuration Lead at Big Red Recruitment Midlands Ltd, London, 6 Months, £450-£500 per day

£450 - £500 per day

Contract Description

IT Asset Management - Are you immediately available for a remote, 6 months, outside IR35 engagement?

There are Asset Management roles where you maintain what's already there.

This isn't one of them.

We're looking for an experienced IT Configuration & Asset Lead to take ownership of the IT Asset Management and Configuration Management practices within a complex organisation.

The foundations are there. Your job is to make them better.

You'll take control of the complete hardware life cycle, improve the quality and integrity of asset and configuration data, strengthen governance and make sure the CMDB becomes something the wider IT function can genuinely trust and use.

A big part of the assignment will centre aroundHaloITSM - improving the Asset Management Database and CMDB, establishing clear data standards and ownership, and reconciling information across endpoint, procurement, inventory and supplier systems.

You'll also make sure the data properly supports Incident, Problem, Change, Risk and Continuity Management, while tightening up reporting, supplier assurance, IT Asset Disposition and life cycle controls.

What we're looking for

You'll already have strong, hands-on experience of:

  • IT Asset Management and Configuration Management in a complex environment
  • Hardware life cycle management and CMDB governance
  • Improving asset/configuration databases and data quality
  • Reconciling data across ITSM, endpoint, procurement and supplier systems
  • ITIL/service management practices and controls
  • Producing meaningful management reporting and improvement plans
  • Managing stakeholders and third-party suppliers

HaloITSM experience would be a definite advantage, but it isn't essential.

If you're the sort of person who can walk into an imperfect Asset and Configuration Management environment, work out what needs fixing and then actually fix it, we should talk.
