Delivery Manager - Agile - Government/GDS - Outside IR35 at Tech Talent ID, London/remote, 3 Months, £450 per day

Delivery Manager is required by this niche consultancy to lead a critical, high-profile Government Alpha project . Working within a fast-paced, user-centered Agile environment, the successful candidate will drive the delivery of an Alpha discovery phase, ensuring the team remains focused on solving the right user problems while meeting Government Digital Service (GDS) alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of the Alpha phase, managing multi-disciplinary teams (UX, engineering, product) to iterate prototypes rapidly.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and show-and-tells.
• Remove blockers and shield the team from external distractions to maintain a sustainable delivery cadence.
• Manage stakeholders across government departments, clearly communicating progress, risks, and Alpha outcomes.
• Track team velocity and health, utilizing data to optimize delivery processes and build a collaborative culture.
• Prepare the team for the formal GDS Alpha assessment, ensuring all service standard criteria are robustly met.

Requirements:

• Proven track record delivering digital services within the UK Public Sector (GDS experience is essential).
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) during early-stage discovery and Alpha phases.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex governance structures.
