About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Migration Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in supporting the migration of a business-critical application from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. Working closely with the Lead Technical Architect, the successful candidate will be responsible for building, migrating, testing, and supporting Azure infrastructure to ensure a secure, resilient, and operationally ready platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with a strong background in cloud migration and Azure services to contribute to a high-profile project in a dynamic environment.

- Proven experience in Azure cloud migration projects
- Strong knowledge of Azure Infrastructure components such as compute, storage, and landing zones
- Experience with Azure Networking and Hybrid Connectivity solutions
- Familiarity with Entra ID / Identity & Access Management
- Understanding of Azure Security best practices
- Knowledge of Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery strategies
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Skills in Monitoring, Logging, and Operational Support
- Experience working within regulated or mission-critical environments
- Relevant Azure certifications are highly desirable
The Azure Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Supporting discovery, technical assessment, and detailed migration planning
- Building and configuring Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking components
- Implementing security controls and identity management solutions within Azure
- Establishing and maintaining operational services such as monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Managing migration activities, including cutover and rollback procedures to minimize downtime
- Conducting resilience, backup, and disaster recovery testing to ensure system robustness
- Troubleshooting infrastructure and migration issues promptly and effectively
- Producing comprehensive technical documentation and operational handover materials
- Collaborating closely with architects, Microsoft teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle
