Senior C# / Azure Engineer Contract | £650- £700 per day | Outside IR35

Method Resourcing are partnering with a leading Data & AI consultancy on an exciting programme within Wealth Management, building AI agents to transform and automate the customer onboarding journey.

The initial design phase has been completed and the programme is now moving into build. We are looking for up to two experienced C# / .NET Engineers to help establish the technical foundations and support the wider engineering team through delivery.

We are looking for strong software engineers who understand C#, Azure and event-driven architectures, with exposure to modern AI/agent-based applications.

The role

You will work within an existing C# and Azure environment, helping the team understand and extend the client 's current architecture while establishing robust engineering patterns for the build.

You will :

• Review and understand an existing **C#/.NET codebase
• Work with existing **Azure Functions and queue/event-driven patterns
• Integrate with existing **AI agents, tools and MCP-based services
• Build foundations and reference implementations for the wider engineering team
• Develop and support **document extraction and processing pipelines
• Integrate AI tools and agents into existing client pipelines and services
• Review C# code produced by junior engineers, including AI-assisted development
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, code reviews and mentoring
• Help establish strong engineering standards as the programme moves from design into delivery

What we 're looking for :

• A Senior, hands-on engineer
• C# / .NET
• Microsoft Azure
• Azure Functions
• Event-driven / queue-based architectures
• APIs and systems integration
• Software engineering and code review
• Experience building AI/LLM applications, AI agents, tool-calling architectures or MCP integrations would be particularly valuable.
• Exposure to document processing, extraction pipelines or regulated Financial Services environments would also be beneficial, but isn 't essential.

The key requirement is the ability to enter an existing C# environment, understand it quickly and provide the engineering foundations that allow the wider team to deliver effectively.

Contract Details:

Start: 12th October

Duration: 3-Months w/ Extension

Rate: £650- £700 per day

IR35: Outside IR35
