Data Engineer - Financial Services Organisation | West Midlands | £650 per day | Outside IR35

We are working with a growing financial services organisation that is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join its expanding data function.

This is a hands-on role working across a modern Microsoft Azure / Fabric environment, supporting the development of new data solutions and helping the business build out its data capability.

The Role

You will work closely with the wider data and technology team to:

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions
• Develop data solutions across Azure and Microsoft Fabric
• Integrate data from multiple sources
• Develop ETL / ELT processes and data transformations
• Support data quality, governance and data management
• Work with Data Architects, Analysts and wider technology teams
• Help develop the organisation's data platform and future-state capabilities
• Work with complex and sensitive financial data

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong experience across Azure and modern Microsoft data technologies
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric highly desirable
• Strong SQL and data transformation experience
• Experience building data pipelines and integrating multiple data sources
• Experience working within financial services
• Comfortable working within regulated and data-sensitive environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

• Financial Markets
• Fund Management

Contract Details

• Rate: Up to £650 per day
• IR35: Outside IR35
• Location: West Midlands
• Working Pattern: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to site
