We are looking for an experienced Finance Automation Engineer to lead the re-engineering and automation of finance processes across the organisation.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who has successfully redesigned and automated finance processes at scale across multiple systems. You will work from a prioritised backlog of opportunities, removing manual effort, improving data quality and creating more efficient, controlled finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and re-engineer finance processes to eliminate waste, duplication and unnecessary manual intervention.
  • Build and deliver a prioritised backlog of finance automation and process improvement opportunities.
  • Design and implement end-to-end integrations between Snowflake, Workday Adaptive Planning, Acumatica and other finance systems.
  • Develop workflow automations using Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps or equivalent technologies.
  • Improve data quality and accelerate month-end close and management reporting.
  • Identify and implement AI and machine learning solutions where traditional rule-based automation is not sufficient.
  • Establish sustainable processes, controls and documentation that can be maintained by internal teams.
  • Work independently to assess requirements, define solutions and drive delivery through to completion.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience delivering finance process re-engineering and automation programmes within complex organisations.
  • Strong experience with ERP, finance and data platforms, ideally including Acumatica, Workday Adaptive Planning and Snowflake.
  • Demonstrable experience designing integrations and automated workflows across finance systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft automation stack, including Power Automate, Power Apps and/or Azure Logic Apps.
  • Experience applying AI/ML technologies to finance processes where deterministic automation is insufficient.
  • Ability to independently assess requirements, design solutions and deliver against a prioritised backlog.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Workday Pro Adaptive Planning Certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Background in finance transformation, controllership, FP&A or finance systems.
