RAN Deployment & Integration Engineer
Location: Solihull, UK
Outside Ir35 Long term contract
Minimum:
5+ years Ericsson RAN experience,Ericsson BBU/IRU implementation experience
ATP support experience, Manufacturing/private network experience preferred
Objective: Support deployment, commissioning, integration, ATP validation, and stabilization of the Ericsson Private 5G Indoor RAN / Radio Dots System,infrastructure within JLR manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Deployment with the help of JLR Contracter
- Install and verify Ericsson BBUs.
- Install and verify IRUs.
- Inspect and validate existing Radio Dots.
- Verify grounding, power, and cabling connections.
- Verify GNSS synchronization connectivity.
Commissioning & Integration
- Perform Day-0 and Day-1, Mostly commissioning activities - till the point the Network Controller, BBU, IRU and Dots are visible in cloud NMP Portal
- Support Network Controller to RAN integration.
- Verify IRU and DOT registration.
- Validate radio configuration and operational status.
- Support SIM onboarding validation.
Testing & ATP Support
- Execute throughput tests.
- Execute latency tests.
- Execute mobility and handover tests.
- Support subscriber data and SIM provisioning validation.
- Execute redundancy and failover testing.
- Support ATP documentation and defect closure.
Troubleshooting :
- Troubleshoot BBU, IRU, DOT, and radio integration issues.
- Support fault isolation activities.
- Escalate OEM issues to Ericsson L2/L3.
Hypercare:
- Support initial network stabilization.
- Participate in KPI reviews.
- Support issue resolution during hypercare.
Skills & Experience
Mandatory**:
- Ericsson Radio Access Network experience.
- BBU commissioning experience.
- IRU and Radio Dot deployment experience.
- LTE/5G RAN fundamentals.
- ATP and acceptance testing experience.
- Understanding of mobility and handover validation.
Preferred
- Ericsson EP5G experience.
- Manufacturing/private network deployments.
- GNSS synchronization knowledge.
