Sector: Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical
Technology: Veeva CRM/Veeva Commercial Cloud

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Veeva CRM Implementation Consultant to support a major technology and business transformation within a global life sciences environment.

This is a hands-on consulting role for someone who combines strong Veeva CRM expertise with a detailed understanding of pharmaceutical commercial processes. You will work between business, technology and implementation teams to translate requirements into a practical Veeva solution and help take the programme from design through configuration, testing, deployment and adoption.

The successful consultant will have previously delivered Veeva CRM implementations or major transformation programmes within pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences organisations and understand the regulatory and compliance considerations associated with customer engagement in this sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the implementation, enhancement and rollout of Veeva CRM across business teams, markets or regions.

  • Assess current CRM processes and help define the future-state Veeva solution.

  • Gather and translate requirements from Sales, Commercial, Medical and other business stakeholders.

  • Produce functional requirements, process flows, user stories and solution documentation.

  • Configure or provide functional guidance around Veeva CRM capabilities.

  • Work closely with Veeva specialists, developers, architects and integration teams.

  • Support customer and HCP data processes, territory management, account planning and field-force workflows.

  • Support Veeva functionality such as Approved Email, Call Reporting, CLM and Events Management where applicable.

  • Define and manage requirements for integrations between Veeva and surrounding enterprise platforms.

  • Support data migration, cleansing, mapping and validation activities.

  • Coordinate and support system, integration and User Acceptance Testing.

  • Manage defects, requirements clarification and functional issues through to resolution.

  • Support deployment, cutover and go-live activities.

  • Develop training, documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.

  • Work with business teams to drive adoption and ensure the solution delivers measurable improvements.

  • Ensure solutions are aligned with relevant pharmaceutical regulatory, privacy and compliance requirements.

Essential Experience

We are looking for a consultant with:

  • Strong commercial experience implementing Veeva CRM within Life Sciences.

  • Previous Veeva implementation, rollout, migration or major enhancement experience.

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical Commercial and/or Medical Affairs processes.

  • Experience working with field sales representatives, Key Account Managers, Medical Science Liaisons or similar user communities.

  • Strong requirements gathering and business process analysis skills.

  • Experience translating business requirements into Veeva functional solutions.

  • Understanding of Veeva configuration and administration.

  • Experience supporting testing, UAT, deployment and go-live.

  • Knowledge of CRM data, customer/HCP information and territory structures.

  • Experience working within complex multinational pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Highly Desirable

Experience in several of the following would be particularly valuable:

  • Veeva Vault CRM/migration from Legacy Veeva CRM.

  • Veeva Commercial Cloud.

  • Veeva Network.

  • Veeva Align.

  • Veeva OpenData.

  • Salesforce.

  • Approved Email.

  • CLM/Digital Content.

  • Events Management.

  • Territory and account management.

  • Master Data Management.

  • CRM integrations and APIs.

  • Data migration.

  • GxP or validated environments.

  • GDPR and pharmaceutical compliance.

  • Global or multi-country Veeva deployments.

The Consultant

This role requires more than technical Veeva knowledge. We are looking for someone who can operate as a genuine implementation consultant-comfortable sitting between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams.

You should be able to challenge requirements constructively, identify where standard Veeva functionality should be used rather than unnecessary customisation, and explain complex technical concepts in straightforward business language.

You will be pragmatic, delivery-focused and comfortable entering an established programme, quickly understanding the environment and taking ownership of your workstream.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to work on a significant Veeva CRM transformation within a global life sciences organisation, helping shape how commercial and medical teams engage with healthcare professionals and customers.

The engagement would particularly suit an experienced Veeva contractor who enjoys combining business process consulting, functional Veeva expertise and hands-on implementation delivery rather than operating purely as a technical developer or project manager.
