IT Operations Lead (SC cleared) | Government Data Service | Outside IR35
I'm looking to speak with experienced IT Operations/Live Service professionals for a long-term government data programme.
This is a hands-on role, not a big enterprise Head of Operations position. You'll be owning the live service across a small support function and working closely with Data, DevOps, Platform and Software teams.
Key experience:
- Live service/IT operations ownership
- Incident, problem, change and release management
- Major incident coordination
- Service Desk leadership
- SLA/KPI reporting and service performance
- Continual service improvement
- Strong stakeholder management
- Comfortable operating in a technical, public sector environment
The role also needs someone resilient and pragmatic who can manage challenging stakeholders and stay close to the detail.
Contract details:
- c. £400/day
- Outside IR35
- Fully remote, UK based
- Initial contract through to Feb 2027
- Good chance of extension
- Current SC assumed for now
