Developer Enablement SME at Develop, Multiple Locations, £Contract Rate

Developer Enablement SME Platform Engineering Developer Experience - Outside IR35 - rate negotiable - remote UK - Mid October start date - Must hold active SC 

A major technology transformation programme is looking for a Developer Enablement SME to help engineering teams adopt and get maximum value from a modern developer platform.

This isn't simply a training role.

The successful candidate will work directly with developers, platform engineers and domain teams, understanding how they build and deliver software today and helping them transition towards better, more consistent and increasingly self-service ways of working.

They'll sit at the intersection of Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, DevOps and change adoption.

What they'll be doing

• Onboarding engineering and domain teams onto the platform.
• Running workflow discovery, training and co-design workshops.
• Demonstrating golden paths and recommended developer workflows.
• Helping teams adopt CI/CD, repositories, templates and self-service platform capabilities.
• Identifying and troubleshooting common adoption blockers.
• Creating clear developer documentation, examples and reusable learning materials.
• Gathering feedback directly from engineering teams and turning it into platform improvements.
• Helping establish and grow a Community of Practice.
• Coaching teams towards greater self-sufficiency and reducing dependency on central platform support.
