We are looking for Data Analysts to join a specialist analytics team working on a major data programme within the financial services and regulatory sector.

You will work with complex datasets to develop dashboards, analytical reporting and actionable insights that support risk identification and business decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse complex, multi source datasets including holdings, transactions, legal entity and reporting data
  • Use SQL to interrogate and analyse large datasets
  • Identify trends, anomalies, concentrations and emerging risks
  • Design, develop and refine dashboards using Tableau or Power BI
  • Produce management information and analytical reporting
  • Assess and improve data quality through validation, controls and enrichment
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
  • Continuously refine dashboards and analytical outputs based on stakeholder needs

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience analysing large, complex, multi source datasets
  • Experience with AWS, particularly S3, DynamoDB and Athena
  • Strong Tableau or Power BI dashboard development experience
  • Data quality assessment, validation and improvement
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical audiences
  • Self motivated and comfortable delivering with limited supervision
  • Able to adapt quickly as priorities change
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

Desirable

  • Financial services or regulatory experience
  • Familiarity with financial or regulatory data reporting regimes

The technical requirements specifically call for SQL, AWS S3/DynamoDB/Athena and Tableau or Power BI.
