Solution Architect – Defence Digital Programme

Reading | Hybrid (2 Days Per Week) | Permanent or Outside IR35 Contract

An opportunity to join one of the world's most ambitious next-generation defence and digital transformation programmes.

Working alongside government and industry partners, you'll play a critical role assuring highly secure digital environments spanning cloud and classified infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assure hybrid Azure and on-premise infrastructure architectures.
  • Assess technical solutions supporting highly sensitive digital capabilities.
  • Define technical requirements for new and evolving digital services.
  • Participate in architecture and design assurance reviews.
  • Evaluate supplier technical evidence and provide recommendations.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, architecture reports and assurance artefacts.
  • Support technical governance and design approval activities.
  • Provide technical guidance across service deployment, infrastructure delivery and capability transition

Essential Experience

  • Active SC Clearance (or higher).
  • Experience designing and assuring Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure architecture.
  • Experience working within secure or classified environments.
  • Technical architecture documentation including HLDs, LLDs and assurance reports.
  • Experience reviewing infrastructure, network or platform designs.
  • Defence, government or national security programmes.
  • Secure network architecture across multiple security domains.
  • Architecture governance, design authority or technical assurance.
  • Knowledge of security accreditation or assurance processes.
