Test Analyst at Hays DT - Midlands, Milton Keynes, £350-£400 per day

£350 - £400 | Outside IR35 | Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) | Contract until December 2026

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support the delivery of key system and business change initiatives. This is a hands-on testing role focused on ensuring high-quality releases through comprehensive test planning, execution, defect management and stakeholder collaboration.

The Role
As a Senior Test Analyst, you'll be responsible for creating and executing test cases, identifying and managing defects, validating fixes, and supporting successful project delivery through all stages of the testing life cycle. You'll work closely with project teams to ensure system changes are tested thoroughly and align with organisational testing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and design documentation to create effective test cases and test scenarios.
• Execute testing across multiple test phases and cycles.
• Perform functional, integration and regression testing.
• Support API and data migration testing activities.
• Identify, log and manage defects through to resolution.
• Contribute to test plans, test reporting and test assurance activities.
• Support UAT and Early Life Support (ELS) activities.
• Assist with test governance, RAID reporting and quality assurance reviews.
• Maintain test documentation, RTMs and knowledge transfer materials.

Skills & Experience

• Strong manual testing experience.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Integration testing experience.
• API testing experience.
• Data migration testing experience.
• Defect management and defect triage experience.
• Regression testing and UAT support experience.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience working within structured project delivery environments.
