Senior User Researcher
Outside IR35: £475 per day
75% remote - occasional travel to Leeds, London and sites across Southern England
Immediate start - 6 months initial
We are recruiting a Senior User Researcher to support a major digital therapies workstream within the healthcare sector. The role will lead research across digital services used by patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring that user needs inform design and delivery decisions. The position is predominantly remote, but regular travel to project and research locations will be required.
Role responsibilities
- Plan and lead user research across the full service-design and delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct research with patients, healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
- Select and apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Analyse findings and translate evidence into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Work with designers, product managers, delivery professionals and technical teams to embed user needs into service development.
- Present findings to stakeholders and maintain a clear evidence base of user needs, behaviours and service challenges.
Key experience and requirements
- Senior-level user research experience within complex digital-service environments.
- Previous experience delivering user research within NHS England is essential.
- Knowledge of healthcare services, digital therapies or patient-facing digital products.
- Experience planning and conducting research with a range of users, including people with accessibility or assisted-digital needs.
- Ability to communicate research findings clearly and influence multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
- Availability to travel to Leeds, London and sites across Southern England when required.
