GCP Test Engineer
Contract | Outside IR35 | London/Hybrid | Rate: Negotiable/day
We're looking for an experienced GCP Test Engineer to support a major secure cloud transformation programme within the UK public sector.
You'll work across Google Cloud, Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) and private cloud environments, helping ensure platforms, infrastructure and services are secure, resilient and operationally ready.
Key Responsibilities- Test cloud platforms, infrastructure, integrations and deployments
- Support automated testing and CI/CD quality practices
- Perform functional, integration, regression and non-functional testing
- Test APIs and Kubernetes/containerised platforms
- Analyse defects and support troubleshooting and continuous improvement
- Contribute to quality, resilience and operational assurance
Key Experience
- Strong Test Engineering experience within cloud environments
- GCP experience, ideally Google Distributed Cloud
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and automated testing
- API and integration testing experience
- Experience working within secure, regulated or government environments
- Python/Scripting experience desirable
Security Requirements
Candidates must hold active UK SC clearance or be eligible to obtain it and must be willing to undergo DV clearance.
