Backup Engineer/Commvault at ECS, Multiple Locations, £Contract Rate

£550-£600 per day Outside IR35 Fully Remote Initial 6-Month Contract

We're currently looking for an experienced Backup Engineer with strong Commvault deployment experience to join a major infrastructure programme.

This is a hands-on deployment-focused role within a mixed Windows and Linux environment. The design phase has already been completed, and you'll be responsible for delivering the installation, configuration and rollout of the backup solution.

• Deploy and install Commvault / CommServe environments
• Configure backup infrastructure and associated components
• Onboard servers, applications and workloads into the platform
• Support deployment activities through to go-live
• Work closely with technical and project teams throughout the implementation
• Assist with troubleshooting and post-deployment support where required

• Proven experience deploying and installing Commvault / CommServe
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery technologies
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
• Previous experience onboarding workloads and configuring backup policies
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, ports, firewalls and connectivity requirements
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects in enterprise environments

• Experience working within managed services or customer-facing environments
• Exposure to large-scale backup transformations or migrations
• Additional backup technologies such as Veeam, NetBackup or Rubrik

Please note: This role requires genuine hands-on deployment experience with Commvault. Candidates with solely support or administration experience are unlikely to be suitable.
