Outside IR35
Location: Hybrid, must be willing to travel to Manchester and London as required.
We are looking for an experienced Business Architect to provide specialist architecture services to a major insurance organisation undertaking a significant Group Simplification Programme.
The programme will simplify the Group's operating structure, reduce organisational complexity and establish a more effective Target Operating Model (TOM). The Business Architect will be engaged to define the future-state business architecture and provide the architectural framework required to support the transition from the current operating model.

- Development of the future-state Target Operating Model aligned to the Group simplification objectives.
- Current and future-state business architecture, identifying structural, capability and operating model changes required.
- Development of business capability maps, value streams and organisational models to support the future-state design.
- Definition of clear architectural principles and design criteria for the simplified Group structure.
- Assessment of dependencies and impacts across business functions, legal entities, processes, technology, data and governance.
- Development of transition-state architecture and a roadmap from current to target state.
- Identification of opportunities to remove duplication, simplify organisational structures and improve accountability across the Group.
- Production of architecture artefacts and recommendations to support key programme and executive-level decisions.
- Provision of specialist Business Architecture expertise throughout the programme, ensuring proposed changes remain aligned to the agreed target state.
- Group or enterprise-wide simplification programmes.
- Target Operating Model design and implementation.
- Organisational and structural transformation.
- Legal entity or business-unit restructuring.
- Business capability and value-stream modelling.
- Complex operating environments involving multiple business units or entities.
- Working with senior executives and transformation leadership teams.
- Translating strategic objectives into pragmatic business architecture and executable transition plans.
