Infrastructure Project Manager - £650pd - Outside IR35

I am currently working with a client of mine on a business-critical End User Compute programme where they are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to come in and take ownership of delivery. The programme is already mobilised, so they need someone who can pick up momentum quickly, work to strict deadlines and drive delivery excellence across a multi-territory estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration programme, replacing as much of the Legacy estate as possible
  • Own the decommissioning workstream for the Desktop-as-a-Service estate, coordinating central collection of devices and managing their return shipment to Lenovo
  • Oversee the rollout of Windows biometric login ensuring it is fully incorporated into the standard build
  • Ensure data protection requirements are considered and Embedded throughout the programme life cycle
  • Manage works council engagement and secure the necessary approvals across European territories, navigating local compliance and employee representation requirements
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams, keeping stakeholders aligned and informed
  • Work closely with 3rd-party suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration and performance against SLAs
  • Identify risks, dependencies and issues early, driving robust mitigation plans

Skills
  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure or End User Compute Project Manager on device refresh/OS migration programmes
  • Demonstrable experience delivering Windows 11 migrations at enterprise scale
  • Strong cloud migration experience, having delivered infrastructure and workload transitions into cloud environments
  • Solid background in Windows estate migration, desktop hardware logistics and asset decommissioning DaaS experience an advantage
  • Experience delivering across multiple European territories
  • A sound understanding of data protection considerations within an infrastructure delivery context
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes across internal teams and external partners
  • A methodical, structured approach to delivery with a strong eye for detail
