About the Role:

JPMorgan Chase are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GCP Developer/ Architecture to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. This is a critical role within the JPMC next-generation cloud environment, Atlas 2.0, which serves as a multi-cloud control plane spanning AWS, Azure, GCP, and On-Premise infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and managing robust platform provisioning and management solutions, primarily focused on GCP environments, and contributing to AI enablement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


• GCP general skills on: foundational organization management, network, identity, policy. (Proficient in at least 2 of these areas, ideally covering all across the 3 roles)
• Terraform / HCL
• Kubernetes management
• Golang preferred over Python (but both good to have)
• Kubernetes Operator / CR development
• Kubernetes CI/CD Git Ops tooling experience (eg: ArgoCD / FluxCD etc)
• Spec-Driven development (SDD)
Deliverables:


• Design and Implement Foundational GCP Architectures: Develop, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure foundational architectures within Google Cloud Platform, encompassing organisation management, network topology, identity and access management (IAM), and policy enforcement.
• This includes leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform/HCL to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Develop and Manage Kubernetes-Native Solutions: Engineer and deploy advanced Kubernetes solutions, including the development of custom Kubernetes Operators and Custom Resources (CRs) using Golang (or Python).
• Establish and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with GitOps tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, FluxCD) to ensure efficient and reliable application delivery and cluster management.
• Drive Spec-Driven Development and Architectural Excellence: Champion and implement Spec-Driven Development (SDD) methodologies across all architectural initiatives to ensure clarity, consistency, and maintainability of GCP and Kubernetes designs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural patterns, best practices, and operational frameworks to enhance system reliability, security, and performance.
