GLOBAL GOVERNANCE & STANDARDS MANAGER

Interim Assignment | Outside IR35 | Remote with Occasional UK Travel

Help shape operational governance across a global organisation.

We're delighted to be partnering exclusively with a large international B2C, multi-site organisation on a newly created interim appointment forming part of a significant global governance transformation programme.

Operating across multiple countries, the organisation is developing a consistent global operational governance framework and is seeking an experienced governance professional to lead the design and implementation of global standards, policies and governance processes that support the consistent delivery of frontline operations across a large, multi-site business.

Given the international scope of this assignment, we're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have successfully designed and implemented governance frameworks across multiple countries and jurisdictions within large, complex commercial organisations.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple regions, you'll develop global policies, standards, operating procedures and governance frameworks that support consistency, accountability and operational excellence, whilst recognising regional legislative requirements, operational differences and cultural nuances.

Key Requirements

• Experience operating within a large international commercial organisation is essential, ideally within a multi-site, customer-facing environment.
• Demonstrable experience designing, implementing and embedding governance frameworks across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
• Experience developing governance frameworks that support operational delivery, consistency and business performance, rather than purely financial or regulatory governance.
• Experience working within complex, matrix organisations with multiple international stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across different regions and cultures.
• Experience balancing global consistency with regional operational requirements.
• Experience leading governance, compliance, assurance or business transformation initiatives.

Sector experience is less important than the ability to deliver governance transformation within a large international commercial organisation.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have developed governance frameworks supporting functions such as safeguarding, health & safety, legal compliance and assurance, where governance enables the consistent delivery of operational standards across a multi-site, customer-facing business.

Whilst experience within regulated industries is welcomed, candidates whose experience has been gained exclusively within Financial Services are unlikely to be the right fit for this assignment.
